The Research

The Research
1 in 3 Canadians suffer from a brain disorder at some point over their lifetime (Neuroscience Canada, 2010). This can include concussion/ brain injury, stroke, learning disability, dementia, or other degenerative diseases. 85% of brain injuries are classified as mild. The BrainFx 360 assessment has been developed to be engaging and digitally interactive but it is still founded solidly in science.

The assessment questionnaires online follow established clinical interview protocols to obtain meaningful background and history.

The in-person assessment activities are designed to evaluate approximately 30 cognitive skills, whose concepts are based on review of existing assessment tools, literature review, clinical case reviews, focus groups with health professionals, as well as the founders’ clinical observations in practice from working directly in the community with people striving to improve their ability to function despite effects from brain disorders.

It is foundational to BrainFx that our assessments are clinically useful and have been validated independently through collaboration with prominent researchers and insitutions in neuroscience. Please contact us if you would like to suggest a study.
